The lion sequence towards the end of the trailer is making a lot of noise on social media. Many people were praising it's VFX work, but then reports came out that the lions were not created by CGI. Confirming the same, Akshay Kumar told Movie Talkies, "They (Lions) are not created by CGI at all. They are real. I won't disclose any details because you see, even in my promo, I have just given one shot. This is a deliberate attempt not to show anybody anything about it because I want you guys to go to the theatres and enjoy what exactly happened. And this is the truth about how Samrat fought. I could have easily made my promo more appealing and thrown in some great shots, but I didn't want to do that."publive-image

There have been many controversies around historical films in the past. There is a section that always finds history inaccurate somehow, and Prithviraj, being a historical historical film, falls into the same category. What precautions did he and the director have to take? He answered, "I had doctor sahab (Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi) to take care of that. Everything has been checked by him thoroughly. His knowledge is much bigger than the combined knowledge of mine and yours. We can't compete with him with the kind of knowledge he has about history."publive-image

Talking about the box office clash with Adivi Sesh's Major and Kamal Haasan starrer Vikram on 3rd June, Akshay humbly replied, "All films should do well. Why should i say that their films shouldn't do well. I never think about one film because somehow its success is linked to others. One film's success is linked to many people, so I think all films should do well."publive-image
