The film had a weekend of around Rs. 56 crore nett and the 4-day total stands at around 63.90-64 crore nett. With this, Sitaare Zameen Par has officially crossed the lifetime total of its spiritual prequel Taare Zameen Par, which had collected around ₹62 crore nett back in 2007. While the two films are different in tone and treatment, the box office connection has brought attention to how far Aamir Khan’s brand power still stretches.

The film has emerged as a Success, and if it continues to hold well through the weekdays, a clean Hit verdict could be confirmed by the end of the first week or after the second weekend. The Monday numbers of the film indicate a decent run from here, though the expectations were higher.
All eyes are now on how the film performs in the coming days to determine its final box office standing. The second weekend becomes crucial now as there will many new releases on the coming Friday.
