Luka Chuppi starred Kriti Sanon in the lead opposite Kartik. Since Varun is replacing Kartik for this film, the makers chose a new heroine. Sharvari Wagh, who has worked with Maddock in Munjya, will be the leading female force in Luka Chuppi 2, confirms a report from PeepingMoon. It will also feature a fresh pairing in Bollywood, showcasing Varun and Sharvari.

Laxman Utekar, the director of the first film, will serve as co-producer, and a new director from his team will helm the project.
