"I believe there will be severe legal consequences. It has, of course, hurt the franchise. We have written to him to let him know that many legal consequences are involved. There have been expenses incurred related to the cast, crew, senior actors, logistics, equipment, and filming the trailer," Pooja Tidke, who represents Akshay's production house, told PTI in an interview.

She further added, "Thereafter, contracts were entered into for shooting the trailer. In fact, about three-and-a-half minutes of the film itself had been shot. Suddenly, a few days ago, we received a notice from Paresh ji stating that he is no longer associated with the film and does not wish to be associated with it. This has taken everybody by shock and surprise, of course."

There is reputational damage involved for the actors committed to the film, the franchise as a whole, and, of course, there's significant disappointment among the audience. So, we are optimistic that things work out, but as of now, we are facing legal issues," Tidke stated.
