Jolly LLB 3 Opens Lower Than Jolly LLB 2:
Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi’s much-awaited Jolly LLB 3 has finally hit theatres, but the opening day numbers have come in slightly lower than expected. The film collected in the range of ₹11–11.5 crore on its first day. While this is a solid start, it is below the opening of Jolly LLB 2 (2017), which had raked in ₹12.06 crore on its debut.
For perspective, the first film Jolly LLB (2013), starring Arshad Warsi in the lead, had opened at a modest ₹2.98 crore but grew steadily due to strong word of mouth. Jolly LLB 2 took the franchise to new heights with Akshay Kumar stepping into the lead role, resulting in a much bigger opening and eventual box office success.
This time, Jolly LLB 3 brings together both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, pitting the two Jollys against each other in a courtroom face-off that has been a major selling point of the film. Despite the unique concept and strong buzz, the film’s opening day has not managed to surpass the numbers of its predecessor. There was an issue with PVRInox screens or else the film would have crossed that 12-13 crore figure and become the biggest opener of the franchise.

However, the real test will be over the weekend. Jolly LLB 3 could show healthy growth on Saturday and Sunday of the wod of mouth kicks in. If the collections rise sharply, the film has every chance of matching or even overtaking Jolly LLB 2 in the long run. The Saturday jump has become a very crucial and helpful these days than what it was in last decade.
