Salman Khan about bad movies (Sikandar): 

During a media interaction for Sikandar, Salman Khan highlighted that Bollywood filmmakers are not producing quality content. He stated that many movies are flopping at the box office for the same reason. Little did we know that his own statement would apply to his film, Sikandar, within just a week.

Speaking about the filmmaking standards in Bollywood, the Dabangg actor said, "Jab itni gandi pictures banengi toh flop toh hongi hi. Jab banti hi gandi films hain" (When people make bad films, they will surely flop. They only create bad films).

He further commented on his own movie, stating, "Including my own film, agar acchi nahi hai to nahi chalegi" (If it doesn’t work, it is a bad film). "If it works, it is a very good film."

He shed light on the current situation of the Hindi film industry, saying, "Everyone wants to show the audience how a movie is made. No, you have to make a film for the audience. You need to write it in such a way that you are sitting in the front row and enjoying it. Don’t think ‘inko samajh nahi aayega’ (the audience won’t get it). How can you say that? Then you start spoon-feeding the audience. But the audience has evolved. With OTT platforms emerging, the audience has access to films of all kinds and from anywhere."

"Our directors and producers are making films for the wrong reasons. My father told me this the other day. A film should only be made when you have the best script ever. Nothing else," he concluded emphatically. 

Just imagine, the man with so much knowledge and insight about scripts and filmmaking has ended up giving us a film like Sikandar, which is being trolled by netizens. Even his fans are not pleased with his recent movies. Directed by AR Murugadoss, Sikandar is poised to add another Eid flop to Salman’s filmography, and this is not an "April Fool" statement.
