BMC Seeks Permanent Blacklisting of Aditya Dhar Production:
The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken strict action against Dhurandhar 2’s production following repeated violations of filming rules in Mumbai. The civic body’s A-ward office has asked for a permanent blacklisting of director Aditya Dhar’s production company, B62 Studios, saying it repeatedly broke permit conditions during the shoot of Dhurandhar The Revenge, the sequel to the 2025 blockbuster Dhurandhar.

Officials wrote to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Zone 1) recommending that B62 Studios, along with two individuals — Komal Pokhriyal and Nasir Khan — be barred from applying for future shooting permissions through the state film authority’s online portal.
The problems began during a schedule between February 7 and 8 in South Mumbai’s A-ward area. Authorities say the production did not follow safety and police rules, especially those banning the use of crackers and flammable materials. After the first violation, the production’s ₹25,000 security deposit was forfeited.

When the team later sought permission for shooting on February 14, they assured officials no flammable materials would be used. But police received complaints that lit torches were being used, and officers seized five torches at the site. The BMC has also proposed a ₹1 lakh fine for shooting on a building terrace without proper authority and using generator vans without approval.
If the blacklisting is approved at higher levels, B62 Studios and the named applicants may not be able to seek film shoot permissions in Mumbai in future.
