Tu Yaa Main Goes Below 50 Lakhs On Monday; Shanaya Kapoor & Adarsh Gourav's Flick is a Huge Flop –

Tu Yaa Main Monday Box Office:

Tu Yaa Main has failed to show any box office growth and is now heading towards a disappointing lifetime total. The horror survival thriller starring Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor has struggled ever since its release.

The film opened to a poor ₹50 lakhs on Friday. While Saturday saw some improvement with ₹1.35 crore, the growth was not strong enough for a film that needed solid weekend numbers to survive. On Sunday, collections dropped again to ₹75 lakhs, which was a worrying sign. The real blow came on Monday when the film went below the ₹50 lakh mark and collected just ₹40 lakhs.

Friday - 50 Lakhs 
Saturday - 1.35 crore
Sunday - 75 Lakhs
Monday - 40 Lakhs 
Total - 3 crore nett approx.

The total collection now stands at approximately ₹3 crore nett after four days. Considering the trend, the film is expected to wrap up its lifetime run around ₹7–8 crore nett, which is extremely low. With such numbers, the film can safely be termed a huge flop.

Trade reports suggest that limited buzz, mixed word of mouth, and low pre-release hype affected the opening. Despite belonging to the horror survival genre, which has worked in the past, the film failed to attract audiences in big numbers.

For Shanaya Kapoor, this result comes as a setback, while Adarsh Gourav too would have expected a better box office response. Unless there is an unexpected turnaround, Tu Yaa Main is unlikely to recover from this disappointing run.

"We have already watched Anaconda, Lake Placid, and Deep Blue Sea countless times on television three decades ago. Watching a similar setup on the big screen in 2026 feels too late and too familiar. The opening scene is directly lifted from those ’80s and ’90s creature-horror survival flicks, immediately giving you the indication that you are in for something dated. However, to be fair, Tu Yaa Main does attempt to grow beyond those clichés and builds an interesting premise of its own. There is potential here. I genuinely wish the film had better actors and stronger visual effects, because the viewing experience could have been far more engaging."
