When asked about dealing with trolls and the judgment surrounding his personal life, Ashish admitted, "Yes, public scrutiny can be tough. And no, I’m not immune to it—it does affect you. But the choices I make in my personal life are deeply personal, just like anyone else’s. The backlash around my marriage wasn’t really about the relationship itself. What I sensed was discomfort around age. People found it hard to accept that someone my age could choose to remarry, to start afresh. But I believe in celebrating life—at any age."

He further added, "That belief led us to launch a new YouTube channel, Plus Zindagi, where Rupali and I share our travels and stories, encouraging others to live fully, regardless of their age. After responsibilities are fulfilled, you still have the right to joy, love, and exploration. Even my shift into stand-up comedy stems from that same ethos—why should I limit myself to only being a serious actor? Life offers many stages to perform on, and I want to be on as many as I can."
