Housefull 5, the latest installment in the comedy franchise of Housefull, has completed its 10-day run at the Indian box office with collections standing at approximately ₹138 crore nett. While the first week brought in a decent ₹113 crore, the second weekend added nearly ₹25 crore more, including ₹5.25 crore on Friday, ₹9 crore on Saturday, and an estimated ₹10.50 crore on Sunday.

Despite this steady performance, the film is falling short of expectations. Given the franchise's numbers, scale, and star power, Housefull 5 was expected to soar much higher. However, its collections so far reflect a mixed response from the audience. The film is now eyeing a lifetime total in the range of ₹165–170 crore nett, depending on how it performs in the coming days.

The arrival of Sitaare Zameen Par in the third week might further impact its box office run unless Housefull 5 shows exceptional trending. As it stands, this fifth entry is on track to become the first film in the franchise to miss the ‘HIT’ tag, instead settling for an average verdict.

Despite the ensemble cast and brand value, the film has not lived up to the benchmark set by its predecessors. With its current trajectory, it’s likely to be remembered more as a forgettable affair for the audiences as well as the makers.
