Sonu Nigam threatened to sing in Kannada, refers to Pahalgam attacks; video –

At a concert in Bengaluru, Sonu Nigam stated that he was threatened by a local boy to sing in Kannada. He referred to what happened in Pahalgam (Movie Talkies).

Sonu Nigam Kannada Row:

Bollywood singer Sonu Nigam was in Bengaluru for a live concert. On stage, he spoke about the Kannada language and people, expressing how much he adores them. However, he mentioned a local boy who threatened him to sing in Kannada. The Fiza singer referred it to what happened in Pahalgam, saying, "Yahi kaaran hai jo Pahalgam me hua." Watch the video below. 

 

After the video went viral, a pro-Kannada group protested against the singer and filed a complaint against him at the local police station. He is also facing backlash on the internet from Kannada people for disrespecting locals.
