Tabarana Kathe Review Movie Talkies:
Films that deal with the outburst of a common man against an unjust system always earn respect, simply because the audience connects with them the most.
Tabarana Kathe Story:
Tabarana Kathe tells an ordinary yet very common story of a man merely trying to claim his pension. The backdrop is that he was deceived by someone and was forced into voluntary retirement to avoid an inquiry. Though he is given a respectful farewell, the real problems begin when the issue of pension arises. At first, he has no clue how to apply, what certificates are needed, or where to go.

Nobody 2 Review: Blue Action Mania Turns Pink
The film captures his relentless struggles at every step. Some of the most moving moments come when he feels a spark of happiness just at the thought of receiving his pension, only to be crushed by reality when meeting officers. Those scenes are strikingly relatable-I myself went through the ordeal of running from office to office for my father's PF and pension in the 2010s, and I cannot even imagine how much worse it must have been in the 70s and 80s.
Being a government employee is often seen as a matter of pride, but it comes with this terrible backdrop of inefficiency and delay. As one character in the film says, "Money with government and body with coffin-both are the same."

Tabarana Kathe Movie Review:
Tabarana Kathe fearlessly exposes that system and amplifies the unheard voices of old-age pensioners, who could do nothing but sit outside government offices for years, waiting for their files to move. An extremely relevant and socially important film, it rightfully earned the National Award without an iota of doubt. A staggering classic.
