Why Randeep Hooda didn't do O Romeo:
Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda was reportedly signed to play the antagonist in Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film O Romeo, but the actor had to step away from the project due to unforeseen personal circumstances. According to a source quoted by Mid-Day, Hooda had already begun preliminary preparation for the role before the situation changed.

The source revealed that Randeep was gearing up for the shoot when a personal crisis emerged just days before he was scheduled to film his portions. This period coincided with the release of his film Jaat in April 2025, a time when the actor was also navigating significant developments in his personal life. Reportedly, concerns related to his wife Lin Laishram’s health required his immediate attention, making it difficult for him to commit fully to the project.

“Randeep had begun preliminary prep for the role. Unfortunately, a personal crisis emerged right before he was to shoot his portions. This was around the time of Jaat’s release last April; he was navigating important developments in his personal life and Lin’s health. Understandably, giving time to his personal commitments took precedence,” the source told Mid-Day.
While the makers of O Romeo were keen on having Hooda on board, the situation made it impractical for him to continue. The decision was reportedly mutual, with the team understanding the actor’s priorities during a sensitive phase.
