War 2 Tuesday Box Office Update:
Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR’s much-hyped action film War 2 is struggling at the box office despite its massive scale and hype. After a weak Monday, the film managed to see a small jump on Tuesday thanks to special ticket offers, but the numbers are still far below expectations. This takes the total to around ₹140 crore nett in six days. The movie is now heading towards a first week in the ₹150 crore range.
The film’s Hindi collections so far stand at:
Thursday – ₹28 crore nett
Friday – ₹45 crore nett
Saturday – ₹26 crore nett
Sunday – ₹26.50 crore nett
Monday – ₹6.75 crore nett
Tuesday – ₹7.50 crore nett
Total - 140 crore nett approx.
Made on a massive budget of around ₹400 crore, War 2 needed solid word of mouth to sustain. However, the response from audiences and critics has been mixed to negative. While the action scenes and star power of Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR have been appreciated, the film has been criticized for its weak storyline, predictable screenplay, and lack of emotional connect.

The Spy Universe franchise has always delivered big numbers, with films like Ek Tha Tiger (2012), Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), War (2019), Pathaan (2023), and Tiger 3 (2023) setting high benchmarks. Unfortunately, War 2 has not lived up to those standards. Trade experts predict the film may finish its lifetime run at around ₹180 crore nett or slightly higher — a far cry from what was needed to recover its huge costs.
Unless there is a miraculous turnaround in the second week, War 2 is on track to be labeled a “flop,” making it a major disappointment for Bollywood and everyone involved.
