Bobby Deol to make entry on Duniya Haseeno ka Mela song in The Bads if Bollywood:
Aryan Khan’s debut directorial venture, The Bads of Bollywood, is shaping up to be a star-studded and nostalgic ride. Among its highlights will be Bobby Deol’s grand entry, set to his iconic song Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela from the 1997 hit Gupt. A source revealed to mid-day that Shah Rukh Khan, who is producing the Netflix series, personally took the initiative to secure the rights for the song.
“Aryan’s debut series is an entertaining mix of love, satire, and insider commentary on Bollywood. Bobby, who has gained a second wind in his career in recent years, has one of the show’s most memorable entries. His song is among the many real-life references that have been used in the show,” the source shared.
The decision to use Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela was made to blend nostalgia with impact. The track was originally Deol’s introduction song in Gupt, and Shah Rukh Khan felt it would create the perfect throwback for his character’s entry in the series.
To make it happen, Shah Rukh personally reached out to filmmaker Rajiv Rai, who directed Gupt. Rai confirmed, “Shah Rukh and I spoke over the phone a few times. He asked me for the music rights of Duniya Haseeno Ka Mela.”

The filmmaker added that while he usually does not part with his rights, he made an exception. “Many people have asked me over the years, but usually I don’t give my rights. That said, I know Shah Rukh very well. He is a gracious person and a thorough gentleman. Also, it was for his son. So how could I refuse? Giving the rights was a gesture and I did it for free. There was no financial deal involved.”
With Bobby Deol joining the ensemble cast alongside Mona Singh, Lakshya, and others, Aryan Khan’s first series promises a mix of nostalgia, fresh storytelling, and a peek into Bollywood’s inside world. The trailer for the show will be launched today at a Grand event hosted by Netflix.
