Vaani Kapoor Expresses Concern Over Delhi Air Pollution:

Actress Vaani Kapoor has voiced her concern over the alarming rise in Delhi’s air pollution during the Diwali celebrations. Taking to Instagram on Tuesday morning, the Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui actress shared a screenshot showing the Air Quality Index (AQI) touching 447 — one of the highest levels in the world.

She wrote, “Woke up to Delhi's AQI touching 447, one of the highest in the world today. Maybe next year, we find a way to celebrate without dimming the air we breathe.” Her message reflects the growing anxiety among citizens and celebrities about the worsening pollution levels in the national capital every winter.

Delhi’s air quality sharply deteriorated after the Diwali weekend, with thick smog covering the skyline and visibility dropping in several areas. According to reports, firecracker emissions combined with crop stubble burning and stagnant weather conditions pushed pollution to hazardous levels.

Vaani’s post has received widespread attention, with many social media users echoing her sentiment. Several Bollywood celebrities have also spoken about the need for environmentally conscious celebrations. Some are actually trolling her for speaking again Hindu festival celebration.

While Delhiites continue to struggle with toxic air, Vaani’s statement serves as a gentle reminder to balance tradition with responsibility. Her appeal — to celebrate festivals without harming the environment — resonates deeply at a time when air pollution is a recurring health crisis.
