Urvashi Rautela & Mimi Chakraborty summoned by ED:

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has summoned Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela and former Trinamool Congress MP and actress Mimi Chakraborty in connection with its ongoing investigation into the illegal online betting app 1xBet, officials say. 

Mimi Chakraborty has been asked to appear before the ED at its Delhi headquarters on 15th September. Urvashi Rautela must appear the next day, on 16th September.

An official commented, “The Enforcement Directorate has summoned Actress and former MP Mimi Chakraborty on 15th September and Actress Urvashi Rautela on 16th in the illegal betting app 1xbet case. They have been asked to appear at the Delhi headquarters.”

The ED is investigating alleged money laundering, tax evasion, and promotion of the betting app through endorsements by celebrities. Previous high-profile figures—including cricketers Shikhar Dhawan and Suresh Raina—have been questioned under similar charges in this case.

The probe aims to uncover how public figures were approached, how payments were structured, whether taxes were paid, and whether promotional campaigns helped the app reach more users. More details will be known as the interrogation proceeds.
