Tu Yaa Main Weekend Box Office:
Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor’s Tu Yaa Main has turned out to be a box office disaster in its opening weekend. The horror survival thriller opened to very poor numbers and failed to show any meaningful growth despite the weekend advantage.
O Romeo Has Below Par Weekend; Shahid Kapoor's Flick Drops Nearly 30% On Sunday –
On Friday, the film collected around 50 lakhs nett, which was already an alarming start. Saturday saw some jump, with collections rising to approximately 1.35 crore nett. However, instead of maintaining the momentum, the film dropped again on Sunday, earning nearly 70 lakhs. It was expected due to the India Vs Pakistan cricket match. The total for the opening weekend now stands at just 2.55 crore nett.
For a theatrical release, even a limited one, these numbers are far below expectations. The film needed strong word of mouth and steady growth over the weekend to build some traction, but that clearly did not happen. The mixed reports from audiences have also impacted its performance. In many centres, occupancy remained low, especially in single screens.

The film marks a crucial outing for both Adarsh Gourav and Shanaya Kapoor, but the weak start suggests that the audience was not excited enough to step into theatres. With such a low weekend total, the chances of recovery look bleak. Trade expectations now suggest that the film will end its lifetime run in single digits, which would make it one of the weakest performers of the year.
Unless there is an unexpected turnaround during the weekdays, Tu Yaa Main is headed for a disappointing and forgettable box office run.
Below the collections of Tu Yaa Main:
Friday - 50 Lakhs
Saturday - 1.35 crore
Sunday - 75 Lakhs
Total - 2.60 crore nett
