The box office performance of Tu Yaa Main has turned out to be extremely disappointing. Despite being positioned as a youthful horror thriller, the film has failed to attract audiences in its opening week and is now heading toward a very low lifetime total.

The film opened on a weak note with just ₹50 lakhs on Friday. It saw some growth on Saturday, collecting ₹1.35 crore, but the jump was not strong enough to build real momentum. Sunday again dropped to ₹75 lakhs, indicating limited audience interest over the weekend.

Weekday numbers have been even more concerning. The film collected ₹40 lakhs on Monday, followed by ₹45 lakhs on Tuesday. On Wednesday, collections slipped further to ₹35 lakhs. With this trend, the six-day total stands at approximately ₹3.80 crore nett in India.

The first week is expected to close slightly above the ₹4 crore nett mark. The film should manage to cross ₹5 crore sometime in the second week, but beyond that the growth looks very limited. Current trade estimates suggest a lifetime total in the range of ₹6–6.5 crore nett.

Given its scale and expectations, Tu Yaa Main is shaping up to be a major box office disaster and could end up among the lowest-grossing Hindi films of the year unless there is an unexpected turnaround.

However, to be fair, Tu Yaa Main does attempt to grow beyond those clichés and builds an interesting premise of its own. There is potential here.
