Saiyaara terrific hold on Monday:
After a blockbuster weekend, Saiyaara is showing no signs of slowing down. The romantic drama starring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda had a fantastic opening weekend, collecting an impressive ₹82 crore nett. What’s even more remarkable is its solid Monday hold — the film earned an estimated ₹20 crore on Day 4, almost matching its first-day numbers.

This kind of Monday performance is rare, especially for a film led by newcomers. Directed by Mohit Suri, Saiyaara has now outperformed several big-star films in Monday collections, including Raid 2, Housefull 5, Sitaare Zameen Par, and Sky Force. These films had considerably lower Monday earnings, with Raid 2 bringing in ₹7 crore, and Housefull 5 at ₹11 crore.

Here's a look at the top Monday collections of 2025:
Chhaava – ₹23 crore
Saiyaara – ₹20 crore (estimates)
Housefull 5 – ₹11 crore
Sitaare Zameen Par – ₹8.5 crore
Sky Force – ₹7.5 crore
Raid 2 – ₹7 crore
Saiyaara beats Sky Force, Sikandar, Raid 2, Housefull 5, and Sitaare Zameen Par in Opening weekend –
With such a powerful start and a strong hold, the movie is on track for a ₹300 crore nett lifetime total. That would make it the biggest blockbuster for any debutant-led film in the multiplex era — a rare and commendable feat. If the trend continues, Saiyaara will not only cross the lifetime numbers of these big films but could become one of 2025’s highest-grossing movies overall.
