Saiyaara beats Sikandar, Raid 2, Housefull 5, SZP:

Mohit Suri’s romantic musical drama Saiyaara has taken the box office by storm, collecting an impressive ₹81 crore nett in its opening weekend. The film, starring Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda in lead roles, has outperformed several major releases of the year including Housefull 5 (₹79 crore), Sikandar (₹71 crore), Sky Force (₹63 crore), Sitaare Zameen Par (₹56 crore), and Raid 2 (₹49 crore) in the opening weekend.

Saiyaara Box Office:

Released on Friday, the movie opened to ₹21 crore and witnessed steady growth with ₹25 crore on Saturday and a massive ₹35 crore on Sunday, proving strong word-of-mouth and high footfalls. Not just in collections, but even in audience turnout, the film has surpassed the aforementioned titles, making it one of the most talked-about successes of the year.

The film's touching storyline, inspired by the Korean classic A Moment to Remember, revolves around love and memory loss, and has struck a chord with audiences across India. Mohit Suri, known for his expertise in romantic dramas (Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain), has once again delivered a winner. The music has also contributed heavily to the film’s buzz. This one is also to emerge as the biggest blockbuster of Suri's career.

With no major competition next week, the film is expected to maintain its strong run and cross the ₹100 crore mark soon. The 200 crore nett mark looks very much in its range now.
