Stalin, is planning to introduce a bill in the state assembly that would effectively ban Hindi hoardings, signs, films and songs across the state. However, the government has also moved quickly to deny such a sweeping ban. The state’s fact-checking arm stated on social media that “No proposal for such a bill has been received.” The Secretary of the Legislative Assembly likewise clarified that no such bill is currently in the pipeline.
