During the press conference for the movie, a reporter asked director Ashok Teja, “Why did you look at a ‘Milky Beauty’ and think that she could be a Shiv Shakti?" The actress took the mic in her hand and appeared a bit irritated but handled the situation very well with her sensible answer. "Your question holds the answer within it. He doesn’t regard ‘Milky Beauty’ as something to be shamed or feel bad about. Glamour, in a woman, should be celebrated. We women must celebrate ourselves first, then we can expect others to celebrate us. If we view ourselves in a certain light, then nobody can disrespect us," she replied.
