Sreeleela on working in different languages:
South actress and dance Sreeleela is all set to make her Bollywood debut and says for her, language is never a barrier when it comes to playing strong and relatable characters. The actress, who was recently seen in Kissik Song in record breaking hit Pushpa 2 The Rule, believes that living the character on screen is far more important than the language it is delivered in.
Sharing her thoughts, she said, “I feel like the moment we start acting instead of living the character, it's not authentic anymore. Especially in Hindi cinema, the scripts I've heard are a little more real, a little more my age, very close to my character. In the past, I've played many characters that weren't completely like me – I tapped into different roles. But these last couple of films feel like me, like a plain me, like how I would really react. I'm excited to bring my authentic self to every screen, no matter what language.”
Sreeleela is making her Bollywood debut opposite Kartik Aaryan in Anurag Basu’s upcoming musical romantic drama, tentatively titled Tu Meri Zindagi. The film is currently in production and is expected to release later this year or early next year.
The actress, who has quickly risen to fame in the South film industry, is excited to explore Hindi cinema and reach a wider audience. With her focus on bringing authenticity to her roles, Sreeleela aims to connect with fans across languages and industries, proving that emotions and stories matter more than words.
