Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri, stars newcomers Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, and has emerged as a surprise blockbuster, opening with impressive numbers. Industry experts believe its strong second weekend performance may have impacted Son Of Sardaar 2 if both films released together. The romantic drama isn looking for a huge jump on Day 2 after collecting a fantastic total of 20 crore nett on Friday.
Interestingly, the new release date now brings SOS 2 in direct competition with Dhadak 2, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri. With both films targeting the youth and family audiences, the clash could be significant—unless Dhadak 2 also shifts its release date.
