Smriti Irani is set to make a huge comeback as Tulsi Virani in the reboot of Kyunki  Saas  Bhi  Kabhi  Bahu  Thi, and the first look has already set social media abuzz. Have a look at it below:

In the newly unveiled image, Smriti Irani appears resplendent in a maroon Banarasi saree embellished with a rich zari border, paired with traditional temple jewellery, a bold red bindi, black-beaded mangalsutra, and stacked bangles—a quintessential Nod to her iconic early-2000s avatar. Age hasn't done anything to her charm it seems.

The promo video released by Star  Plus shows a family debating her comeback during a casual dinner. Their excitement builds as Smriti, watering a tulsi plant at home, turns to the camera and says: “Zaroor aaoongi… humara 25 saalon ka rishta hai… waqt aagaya hai aapse phir milne ka” (“I will come back… we share a 25‑year bond… it’s time to meet again”). Fans are loving the promo and are talking about Irani's simplicity despite a long acting gap she took.

The new chapter, aptly titled Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2: Tulsi Ka Safar, will premiere on Star  Plus and Jio Hotstar on July 29 at 10:30 pm. Alongside Irani, original cast members Amar Upadhyay (Mihir), Hiten Tejwani (Karan), Gauri Pradhan (Nandini), Shakti Anand (Hemant), and Kamalika Guha Thakurta (Gayatri) are reprising their roles, while new characters will bring a fresh twist to the saga.
