An official adaptation of the Hollywood classic A Star Is Born (1937), the film featured Shraddha Kapoor as Arohi Shirke, an aspiring singer, and Aditya as Rahul Jaykar, a drunkard and a fading singer.

Twelve years after Aashiqui 2, the duo of Shraddha and Aditya may reunite for the same director's next. According to a report in Pinkvilla, the project has been discussed but not finalized yet. It will take some time, and then we will get a clear idea of whether or not it’s happening.

"Mohit Suri has discussed the basic idea with the duo and will now proceed to develop the script further. It’s in the nascent stage, and there will be clarity on the reunion by the end of this year,” a source close to the development told the media portal.

Mohit is currently busy with another project, while Shraddha is expected to dive into Naagin's world. Aditya Roy Kapur will next be seen in Metro In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, which will be released this year.
