Shocking news for fans! A fire broke out at Shiv Thakare’s home in Goregaon, Mumbai, on Tuesday morning— and thankfully, the Bigg Boss 16 star is safe. The blaze, which reportedly started due to a short circuit, caused significant damage to his flat located in the Kolte Patil Verve building.  Footage shared on social media showed charred walls, burned belongings, and smoke still lingering as fire brigade teams worked to control the situation. Shiv also shared the news on his Instagram handle; see the screenshot below:

He shared:

"Due to Short Circuit, my living room catched fire, but now everything is under control!  
Thank you so much for your care,

Shiv was not present in the apartment at the time; he had just returned to Mumbai the previous evening. A source revealed that the short circuit occurred in the drawing room, while Shiv was in a separate room on the 12th floor. Even more unsettling: according to reports, the building’s fire alarm system and water sprinklers didn’t function properly during the incident.

Despite the frightening turn of events, no one was hurt. Shiv’s team confirmed that he escaped the incident unscathed, though some of his valuables were destroyed in the blaze.
