Shilpa Shetty Questioned For 4.5 Hours:

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty was questioned for about 4.5 hours by Mumbai Police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) in connection with an alleged ₹ 60 crore fraud case at her residence.

The investigation, linked with her husband Raj Kundra, centers on their now-defunct firm Best Deal TV Pvt. Ltd.  Reports say documents from her advertising company were handed over to the EOW during the questioning, and these are now being verified.

So far, statements of five people — including Raj Kundra — have been recorded as part of the broader probe. The fraud allegation was filed by businessman Deepak Kothari, who claims that between 2015 and 2023, money meant for business growth was misused for personal expenses.

The couple’s legal team has denied any kind of wrongdoings. They argue that the matter was already resolved via the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) in 2024 and maintain that the investment was legitimate, not fraudulent.

Earlier, the Bombay High Court denied Shilpa and Raj’s plea to travel abroad during the investigation, and a Look Out Circular (LOC) has been issued to prevent them from leaving the country. The investigation is ongoing, and more questions are expected as authorities delve deeper into bank transactions and financial records. Shilpa or her team hasn't released any statement yet.
