Shah Rukh Khan Shoots High-Octane Jail Action Sequence for King

Shah Rukh Khan-King Update:

Following the success of Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan has once again teamed up with director Siddharth Anand for King. The film went on floors last month, and the latest update reveals that the actor began filming a key action sequence earlier this week.

According to a Mid-Day report, SRK, along with members of the supporting cast, started shooting on Monday at Mehboob Studios in Bandra, Mumbai. The schedule is expected to continue till June 21, covering four more days of shoot.

A source from the set shared, "The scene is set in a foreign jail, where the protagonist takes on a gang of baddies. Since it’s a critical part of the narrative, Siddharth has flown in three international stunt experts to choreograph the sequence. On June 15, crowd portions were filmed with nearly 200 stunt performers."

While not much else is known about the storyline, the scale of the shoot and involvement of international talent suggest that the makers are aiming for a visually dynamic and tightly executed action set piece early in the production schedule. The film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Suhana Khan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Rani Mukerji, Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla and others.
