Shah Rukh Khan had three releases in 2023: Pathaan, Jawan, and Dunki. In 2024, he had no releases, and he will not have any releases in 2025 either. Fans are eagerly awaiting his next film, King, which is expected to release in 2026. The film was reportedly scheduled for an Eid 2026 release, but it now seems that it will be postponed once again, as the shoot for the film has faced delays yet again.

King was set to begin filming in May 2025, but it has been delayed once more. The reason for this is the same as before. According to the latest report in Mid Day, the film is undergoing modifications in the scripting stage. SRK wants to ensure that the script has no flaws, and only then will he start shooting. 

"Scripting is ongoing. The makers want to ensure they have a terrific script in hand before the camera starts rolling. King not only introduces Suhana on the big screen for the first time but also features the father-daughter duo together. Keeping these factors in mind, Shah Rukh wants the team to take their time to polish the material and deliver an ambitious movie. The team is now planning to begin filming in July-August," a source told the portal.

Deepika Padukone to Play Suhana Khan's Mother in Shah Rukh Khan's King –

Yesterday, a media report confirmed that Deepika Padukone will be playing the role of Suhana Khan's mother in this action drama. Her character plays an important part in the plotline, as she also portrays the role of the former lover of Shah Rukh Khan's character, who has now turned into an assassin. The film will primarily focus on SRK's battle against the deadly villain, played by Abhishek Bachchan.
