When asked about the recasting process, hypothetically, Advani firmly stated, "You can’t make a new cast. Why would you want to? Shah Rukh is Shah Rukh. It doesn’t matter if they still look the same. Shah Rukh Khan embodies it. Not a single person can do it."

Chhabra went on to ask Nikkhil Advani if there are any possibilities of a Kal Ho Naa Ho 2, and if he thinks it's right. Advani answered, "Why would you do that? People are coming to me and asking me to make part 2 of KHNH. It was re-released, right? Films I’ve done.. Kal Ho Naa Ho re-released, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham re-released, Karan Arjun re-released. This is incredible. It doesn't happen usually.
