Say What! Akshay Kumar Is Not Playing The Villain In ‘2.0’!?

Ever since it was announced that Akshay Kumar will be seen in South superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming sci-fi film 2.0, there have been reports that Akki will play the baddie in the film, a theory that seemed confirmed after his beastly look from the film was revealed.

A source attached to the film said that Akshay is not a villain in 2:0, though the costume and prosthetics suggest he plays a ferocious character. But Akshay’s Dr. Richard will be reportedly shown fighting for the right causes and struggling against forces that have plundered and devastated the earth. The source added that all the rough edges in the anti-hero’s character were removed when Akshay Kumar jumped in.

2.0, which was slated to release on Republic Day, has been postponed to a later date due to difficulties being faced with regards the VFX.
