Paramount Pictures’ latest romantic drama Regretting You has turned out to be a major disappointment at the Indian box office. Directed by Josh Boone and based on Colleen Hoover’s popular 2019 novel, the film stars Allison Williams, Mckenna Grace, Dave Franco, Mason Thames, Sam Morelos, Scott Eastwood, Willa Fitzgerald, and Clancy Brown. Despite the solid cast and a known source material, the film has failed to attract audiences in India. It was very much expected, though. However, numbers are lower than expected.

The following days brought no improvement, with Day 2 collecting ₹16 lakh, Day 3 managing a flat ₹10 lakh, and Day 4 crashing to a mere ₹3 lakh. The total four-day figure stands at approx. ₹44 lakh, signaling a complete washout.

Trade analysts estimate that the film will struggle to even touch the ₹1 crore mark before ending its theatrical run — an embarrassing outcome for Paramount Pictures, which has been struggling to make an impact in the Indian market for a long time.

With such poor footfalls and negligible audience interest, Regretting You joins the growing list of Hollywood releases that have failed to connect with Indian viewers in 2025. For Paramount, it’s yet another painful reminder that star power and source material alone can’t guarantee success without strong content and local appeal.
