Ramayana shoot continues with Ranbir Kapoor's body double; Actor will join Ramayana Part 2 –

Ramayana Part One Shoot Update:

Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, Sunny Deol, Lara Dutta, and Rakul Preet Singh, is currently approaching the finale of its shoot. As per a report on Mid-day, the team is filming patchwork scenes with Ranbir Kapoor's body double, as the superstar is occupied with Love And War, starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal.

“Ranbir Kapoor has completed almost all his crucial scenes for the first installment of Ramayana; only patchwork remains, which can be managed without him. Since his dates were allocated to Love & War, Ramayana’s production team planned the shoot to avoid delays. Currently, a few minor sequences are being filmed with a body double, after which it will be a wrap on the first edition,” an insider informed the portal.

Ranbir Kapoor will soon join the shoot as the makers will commence filming for Ramayana Part 2 in the second half of 2025. "It is a VFX-heavy film, and a lot of work is being done in post-production. Nitesh will dedicate the next few months to that. The second installment is likely to roll in the summer, with Ranbir expected to join by June."

Ramayana Release Date:

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana Part 1 is scheduled to be released on Diwali 2026, while Ramayana Part 2 is set to hit cinemas on Diwali 2027.
