In a heartfelt conversation on the Something Bigger show, Madhu said that Siddharth became what she described as “collateral damage” to Priyanka’s rise in the entertainment world.

Madhu explained that when Priyanka’s career began to take off after winning the Miss World title at 18, the family’s focus shifted heavily toward nurturing her opportunities. With Dr. Ashok Chopra, their father, often occupied with his medical work, and Madhu accompanying Priyanka to support her burgeoning film career, Siddharth was left to “grow up on his own” during his teenage years. This led her to feel that he didn’t get the same level of attention or guidance during a crucial time in his life. 

The emotional toll of this family dynamic remains significant, Madhu said. She admitted it still pains her to see Siddharth facing struggles today, even as he has grown up and recently married. Despite her regrets, she also expressed gratitude for both her children and the close bond they share as a family. 

While Priyanka’s success has brought international fame and admiration, this candid reflection from her mother highlights the personal sacrifices and complex dynamics that often go unseen behind the scenes of public achievement. Priyanka never spoke about it or reacted to the comments made by her mother.
