Siddharth Anand to direct Shah Rukh Khan's King
The Pathaan duo, Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand, are set to collaborate for the second time after delivering a record-breaking blockbuster. Anand will direct Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming action thriller, KING, also starring Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan.
Earlier, it was reported that Kahaani fame Sujoy Ghosh was directing this film, but he has now been replaced. A report in Pinkvilla confirmed the news. A source told the portal, "Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are among the biggest combinations in Hindi cinema, and they are all set for a reunion on King. The preparation for this action-packed entertainer has been underway for the last six months, as Siddharth Anand and his team have done multiple rounds of recce all across the globe and have also designed path-breaking action sequences with stunt directors of international repute. King is all set to go on floors in March 2025. The film is written by Sujoy Ghosh, with Siddharth Anand, Suresh Nair, and Sagar Pandya."

The report also mentioned that an A-lister actress (most probably Deepika Padukone) is being considered for a role in the film. The film is eyeing an Eid 2026 release, according to the initial report, but there has been no confirmation from the team yet.
