Param Sundari to clash with Tiger Shroff's Baaghi 4?

The romantic drama Param Sundari, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor, has been postponed from its original release date of July 25. The film’s team is now eyeing a new release window—August 29 or September 5, according to a report by Mid-Day.

"Param Sundari has its own voice. With 2 romantic dramas releasing in quick succession, the makers didn’t want it to be reduced to just another love story. They felt that Param Sundari would benefit from a breather. The team will shoot a promotional track closer to the release as Sidharth is currently busy with his new role as a father," a source told the portal.

The reason for the shift is interesting. Param Sundari makers shifted the date because of Saiyaara, Metro In Dino. Since these films belong to the same romantic-drama genre, the makers of Param Sundari decided to avoid a crowded release calendar in the same month. Also, it was clashing directly with Ajay Devgn's Son of Sardaar 2, which has now pushed its release to August 1 to avoid competition with Saiyaara.

However, the new date may now lead to a bigger clash. If the team finalizes September 5, Param Sundari will go head-to-head with Tiger Shroff’s Baaghi 4. It will be action vs romance then.

It will be interesting to see if the makers of Param Sundari lock the September 5 date and clash with Baaghi 4 or lock August 29 release—a safer alternative to avoid box office battle. Either way, fans of both Sidharth and Tiger are in for an exciting showdown if this clash becomes official. If it doesn't, it will still be an interesting clash since Param Sundari will be in its second week then.
