Jeethu Joseph Issues Legal Warning To Hindi Drishyam 3 Makers:
Director Jeethu Joseph, who created the original Drishyam (Malayalam), has issued a legal warning to the producers of the Hindi adaptation of Drishyam 3, starring Ajay Devgn. The dispute began when the Hindi team planned to commence filming before the Malayalam version led by Mohanlal started production.
In a recent interview with Mathrubhumi, Jeethu explained that simultaneous shooting of the Malayalam and Hindi versions was proposed, but he insisted the Malayalam version be prioritized. Fearing legal challenges, the Hindi producers reportedly paused their plans following his warning that “this might be dealt with legally."
"There were initially some plans to start in Hindi first, but after a hint was given that this would be dealt with legally, they backed off from it,” said the filmmaker.

Jeethu also shared updates on the Malayalam Drishyam 3 script. He disclosed that he finished the first draft—particularly the climax—after intense writing sessions that began at 3:30 a.m. daily. The physical and mental strain was immense, but he found relief upon completion.
Filming for the Malayalam version is expected to begin in October 2025, and plans are underway for a potential pan‑India release across Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu. Meanwhile, the Hindi cast and their directors are reportedly on standby, awaiting the finalized Malayalam script. Both the Malayalam and Hindi teams appear aligned for a coordinated release strategy, though the Malayalam milestone must come first.
