The box office run of O Romeo continues to disappoint as the film recorded a weak second weekend. Despite Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri's presence, the film has failed to maintain momentum after its opening week.

The romantic drama had collected ₹40 crore nett in its first week. However, the second weekend showed limited growth. The film earned ₹1.75 crore on second Friday, followed by a jump to ₹2.80 crore on Saturday. Sunday brought in ₹2.70 crore, taking the total to approximately ₹47.25 crore nett. India versus South Africa cricket match in World Cup 2026 caused the film to miss some numbers in the evening and night shows.

Given its reported high budget and star power, the film’s performance is clearly underwhelming. Trade circles have already labelled the film a flop, as the collections are far below the level required for a successful theatrical run. While the film is expected to cross the ₹50 crore mark soon, that milestone will not be enough to change its overall box office verdict.

For Shahid Kapoor, the struggle to deliver a clean theatrical hit in the post-pandemic era continues. The same concern applies to producer Sajid Nadiadwala, whose recent big-ticket ventures have faced box office failures.

Unless the film shows an unexpected hold on weekdays, O Romeo is likely to wrap up its theatrical run with modest lifetime numbers, making it one of the notable underperformers of the year.
