From long-awaited sequels to fresh narratives led by superstars, the coming year promises a mix of comedy, action, and epic storytelling. Here’s a look at the top five films you shouldn’t miss.

5. Border 2:

Release Date - 22nd January 2026

The much-anticipated sequel to the 1997 classic Border is finally coming out on republic Day weekend of 2026. Promising a powerful mix of patriotism, intense action, and heartfelt drama, Border 2 aims to recreate the magic of the original while introducing a new generation of heroes. The iconic comedy franchise returns after years, bringing back its lovable trio of Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty in yet another chaotic adventure. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is back with another action film after the humongous success of Pathaan and Jawan. The film promises a mix of adrenaline-fueled sequences and relationship drama and as per many reports, it's going to be a modern adaptation of popular French action drama, Leòn The Professional (1994), which was previously remade in Bollywood with Bicchoo. As per reports, the film will be eyeing for late 2026 release, most likely in the final quarter of the year.

Dhurandhar 2:

Release Date - 19th March 2026

Following the record-breaking success of the first part, Dhurandhar 2 is shaping up to be a grand cinematic spectacle as well as one of the most anticipated movies of 2026. With breathtaking action, gripping suspense, and top performances, it’s poised to dominate the box office yet again on Eid 2026.

Ramayana:

Release Date - 8th November 2026

The timeless epic returns in a cinematic retelling that combines grand visuals with modern storytelling techniques. Ramayana Part One promises to captivate audiences with its legendary characters and spectacular production design, appealing to fans of mythology and drama alike.
