Nana Patekar -Indian Army Help Families Affected By Operation Sindoor:
In a heartfelt initiative, actor Nana Patekar’s NGO, in collaboration with the Indian Army, extended a rehabilitation package worth ₹42 lakh to 117 families in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir. These families were among the worst affected by cross-border shelling in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor.
The aid distribution program was aimed at helping those who lost homes, livelihoods, and stability due to the heavy shelling. Patekar, who was present during the initiative, emphasized that such efforts are not charity but a duty towards fellow citizens.

“It is our responsibility to help when such incidents take place in the nation. They are our brothers and sisters. It is a collective responsibility for all of us. We haven’t done any favours to any of them. This is what everyone should do,” said the veteran actor while addressing the media.
He further highlighted the silent contributions of members from the film industry, praising actor and comedian Johnny Lever for his consistent support to people in need. “People from our film industry also do a lot for people in need, but never come to the forefront. Johnny Lever is one of them. If we don’t do it, then who else will?” he added.
This initiative once again underlines Nana Patekar’s commitment to social causes. Apart from his film career, the actor has long been associated with humanitarian efforts, particularly supporting farmers, soldiers, and disaster-affected communities. His recent effort with the Indian Army stands as a reminder of the role collective responsibility plays in nation-building. His social organisation NAAM recently completed 10 years.
