In a recent conversation with iDream Media, the actor revealed that a serious brain injury forced her to step away from films around 2016.

Clarifying that she did not leave by choice, Mumait said, “I didn’t leave the industry. I had an accident. Five nerves in my brain burst. Doctors told me not to work for at least seven years—even lifting anything was impossible.” She shared that the accident left her in a coma for 15 days. The long recovery process meant she was unable to work for years, and during that difficult phase, her mother supported her financially.

Reflecting on the sudden pause in her career, Mumait said she accepted the situation with faith. “God made me Mumait Khan, and he himself put a full stop to it. I accepted it. I used those seven years to self-study,” she explained.

During her time away from the spotlight, Mumait discovered a new passion. She realised her deep interest in makeup and hair styling. “In those seven years, I had a lot of time to think about what I truly loved. I realised it was makeup and hair. In every film, every song, I never repeated a look. Every time, it was different,” she said.

Today, Mumait runs her own hair and makeup clinic, which she says is doing well. While her journey took an unexpected turn, she has built a new path for herself, turning a challenging phase into a successful second career.
