Mamta said, “Dawood Ibrahim se durr durr tak mera koi lena dena nahi hai.” She clarified that people often confuse her association with someone else — reportedly her former partner, Vicky Goswami. She insisted that neither she nor Vicky had any involvement in anti-national or terrorist activities.

What shocked many was her statement claiming that Dawood Ibrahim was not responsible for the 1993 Mumbai bomb blasts. “Kisi ek ka naam zaroor tha, lekin agar aap dekhoge toh usne koi bomb blast ya anti-national kaam nahi kiya tha. Main uske saath nahi hoon, lekin he is not a terrorist,” she said.

Mamta went on to add, “Aap jab Dawood ka naam lete ho, jiske saath mera naam juda hai, usne kabhi Bombay ke andar bomb blast nahi kiya. Kabhi suna aapne? Dawood ko main kabhi jeevan mein nahi mili hoon.”
