Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming romantic drama Love And War is now looking at an August 2026 release after earlier plans for a June release were pushed due to production delays. The film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal, is currently in progress and is expected to wrap its shooting schedule by May–June 2026.

August 14 has emerged as a strong release option for the makers, as it offers the advantage of an extended Independence Day holiday weekend. However, the date also brings a major challenge. If the plan goes ahead, Love And War could clash with two big films — Naagzilla, starring Kartik Aaryan, and Fauzi, headlined by Prabhas. Both films are mounted on a large scale and are expected to attract massive audiences, making the potential box office battle a significant one. It will be a big three-way clash.

Despite the risk, Love And War has several factors working in its favour. Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s brand value, combined with the star power of Ranbir, Alia, and Vicky, ensures strong initial buzz.
