During an exclusive interaction during the Red Carpet of the Indian Film Festival Of Melbourne (IFFM) Award Night, Lisa Mishra gave an update for The Royals Season 2. It is to be noted that the popular Netflix show was the talk of the town during its premiere in May. While the makers of the show were quick to announce a second season, Lisa Mishra, who plays the character of Niki, spoke about the same during the Red Carpet. She stated that the shooting will take some time to start.

“We are going to know very soon what’s happening with The Royals. Of course we’ve announced a season two, and I hope we get to shoot very very soon, but I know it’s going to be a little bit of time before we start,” said Lisa.

As a matter of fact, she even went on to sing a song. Lisa sang a few lines from her popular song Teri Hoon. Despite being one of the last stars to enter the venue and mark her presence during the Red Carpet entry, the singer and actress’ elegant style and friendly nature ensured that the media and Indian fans in Australia continuously cheered for her. Besides, she also performed during the show too. Lisa’s Teri Hoon was an instant hit and managed to fetch a lot of views on YouTube.

As far as The Royals is concerned, the Netflix show received mixed reviews from the critics. Despite that, the performance of its star-studded cast was one of the most trending topics. The lead characters of the show were Ishan Khatter (Aviraaj “Fizzy” Singh), the heir to the throne of Morpur and Bhumi Pednekar (Sophia Kanmani Shekhar), a hospitality entrepreneur. The story revolved around how the royal family were financially struggling and had to partner with a luxury homestay startup to convert their royal palace into a luxury resort.
