Lilo and Stitch garnered an impressive $183 million domestically over the four-day weekend, surpassing the previous Memorial Day record held by Top Gun: Maverick in 2022. Globally, the film amassed $341.7 million, placing it among Disney’s top-performing live-action remakes, trailing only behind The Lion King (2019) and Beauty and the Beast (2017).

In contrast, Tom Cruise's mega-budget Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning, the eighth and concluding installment of the franchise, earned $77 million domestically and $127 million internationally, totaling $204 million worldwide. Despite setting a franchise record for opening day earnings, the film has been beaten by a significant margin by Lilo and Stitch.
