Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, paid a visit to Jallianwala Bagh to remember the sacrifice of thousands of Indians who were killed that day by the British Empire. The team also emphasized why Kesari 2 is an important film to learn the facts and acknowledge the fight of C. Sankara Nair, who confronted the British Empire in the courtroom for their merciless actions at Jallianwala Bagh..

While speaking to the media for Kesari Chapter 2 on Monday, Akshay Kumar also stated, "One day the British Empire will say SORRY. It could be after watching the film or sometime later, but they will say sorry. General Dyer's granddaughter thinks that we (Indians) are looters; I want her to see this film. This film is a response to her regarding what happened.".

Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the film is presented by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films.
