Kartik Aaryan-Anurag Basu's Romantic Drama Renamed Tu Meri Zindagi Hai:

Kartik Aaryan and Anurag Basu’s upcoming romantic drama, earlier titled Aashiqui 3, has now been renamed Tu Meri Zindagi Hai. The decision was reportedly made to avoid legal and creative complications linked to the Aashiqui franchise, which is owned by Vishesh Films.

A source told Mid-Day, “When choosing the title, it was a pre-emptive move by the makers to avoid making a direct reference to Aashiqui. The team wanted a name that evoked nostalgia, but didn’t risk legal or creative complications. Tu Meri Zindagi Hai felt like the perfect fit.”

The new title, inspired by the iconic song from the original Aashiqui (1990), maintains the same romantic essence while giving the film its own identity. The movie stars Kartik Aaryan in the lead, with music composed by Pritam and direction by Anurag Basu, known for his emotionally rich storytelling. Sreeleela stars as the leading lady.

Filming for Tu Meri Zindagi Hai has already begun and is almost complete, with only the final schedule remaining. The team is expected to wrap up production soon. The film is eyeing for a grand release in Summer 2026. There has been a lot of talks about the  comparisons between Saiyaara and this movie, so the question remains: will this film be as successful as Saiyaara?
