Rishab Shetty's highly anticipated Kantara Chapter 1 opened to a decent response in its Hindi version on Thursday. On Day 1 (Dussehra holiday), the film collected ₹17.5 crore nett. However, on Day 2, the earnings fell to around ₹12.5 crore nett.

Adding both days together, the total Hindi version collection for first 2 days is approximately ₹30 crore nett. While the first day saw a festive surge due to Dussehra, the second-day drop was expected as holiday enthusiasm waned. The opening weekend figures will be in the range of 45-48 crore nett whereas the extended opening weekend total is likely to surpass 65 crore nett mark. The 100-crore club seems easy from there, which the 2022 flick had missed by 10 crore.

To calculate the drop, the film experienced roughly 30% drop on the second day. It was an expected drop and pretty much on the level too. The film will see a spyken numbers on Saturday and Sunday and the target should be hitting 18 crore and 20 crore respectively. Kantara Chapter 1 is set to emerge as a success in Hindi market, but is far from the blockbuster tag its predecessor, Kantara, enjoyed in 2022. At the worldwide box office, the film has managed to cross 120 crore mark in two days and will be heading for 150 crore+ weekend easily.
